Hotel La Reserve is the epitome of French Art de Vivre between ocean and vineyards in Saint-Jean de Luz, in the Basque country. Set on 7 acres of verdant lawns facing the ocean, La Réserve is the jewel in the crown on the French south-west coastline.
The 44 guest-room Hotel includes 6 suites located in the vast Basque Villa. It is the ideal retreat for a short vacation with a loved-one, family, or friends. Simple and no-fuss as those of an old beachside family home, the sun filled rooms exude a feeling of well-being throughout, supported by the eclectic furniture.
Studios (23sqm) and private apartments (90sqm) are fully equipped, allowing for a total immersion within the environment.
Chef Bastien Soumoulou is now heading the Ilura Restaurant. A native of the Pyrenees, his career started in his family’s kitchen, prior to culinary studies in Tarbes and later on as an assistant to Michel Guérard at Pré d’Eugénie then John Argaud at Château de Brindos. At La Réserve, the young Chef favors fresh, locally grown products.
Esthederm Institute products are used at the Patio (Spa), ensuring a healthy dose of pampering. To put an end to a perfect relaxing day, after a game or two of tennis and a swim in the large pool, Elaïa, (sparrow in Basque) is the ideal spot to watch the sun set into the ocean, cocktail in hand.
La Réserve will close 3 Nov for the winter to reopen for a new 2024 season next March.
