On August 16, Airbus announced the release of the first ACJ320neo from the hangars. Equipped with CFM International LEAP-1A engines, the latter was painted in ACJ colors for a first flight by early October. After delivery to Acropolis Aviation (UK) in the last quarter of this year, the aircraft will be installed at AMAC in Basel, Switzerland, where a cabin designed by Alberto Pinto will be installed and repainted in the customer’s colors. Like the airliner versions from which it is derived, the ACJ320neo family is equipped with a new generation engine and Sharklets, saving about 15% of fuel, according to the aircraft manufacturer. The ACJ320neo can carry 25 passengers at 6,000 nm / 11,100 km or 13 hours of flight time. It allows for connections like London to Beijing or Cape Town and Moscow to Los Angeles.
