The Tenne Lodges hotel is the result of a meeting between the ambitious architect Martin Gruber and the Rainer-Schölzhorn family, who came up with the idea of building an innovative fivestar hotel at the edge of the Ratschings-Jaufen ski and hiking area. And the task was completed very successfully: the Tenne Lodges hotel looks like a small wooden village reminiscent of the traditional mountain chalets of the 18th and 19th century, but includes all the technology and cutting-edge design of modern times. A total and ancient freedom emerges from the wood and the stone, the two dominant materials of the establishment. And it is this constant search for freedom that gives the Tenne Lodges such an attractive look.
The 35 rooms of the establishment offer between 50 and 160m² of space and can welcome from 2 to 5 people. The Family Lodges offer separate rooms to preserve the privacy of its occupants. The Grand Lodge connects to the upper floors and includes a living room with a fireplace. All rooms are equipped with comfortable king size beds, a sofa, a bathroom with double sink, a hair dryer, a kitchenette with 2 hotplates, a kettle, a coffee maker and refrigerator, a dining table, a balcony and wireless internet connection.
This freedom is also reflected in the choice of 3 types of stay for the client: room only, bed and breakfast or half-board. The possibility of cooking one’s own meals allows all Tenne Lodges clients to enjoy their holiday in a way which suits them best. Don’t go hungry when you wake: In the morning, you can enjoy a continental breakfast with Italian and South Tyrol specialties. Cakes, pastries and eggs can be ordered fresh directly on site. The dinner is characterised by 10 different dishes that allow the guests to adapt the menu to their liking. And special requests are not a problem for our motivated kitchen staff. German chef Mike Bräutigam leads a team of local chefs constantly on the hunt for culinary innovation. The result: a modern cuisine / culinary fusion of South Tyrolean and Mediterranean dishes. The young boss Daniel Schölzhornmeanwhile displays his love for regional and Italian wines in both the wine list and cellar. The evenings can be spent in the warmth of the lounge and bar area where you can taste different wines and spirits, or in the smoking room where you can relax and enjoy a good cigar.
And guest facilities are not lacking: the property has a swimming pool, a sauna and a spa, 2 terraces, a gym, a spa centre for massages and beauty treatments, and an underground parking with two parking spaces for electronic cars. Finally, a small shop also offers luxury products from the region.
In the summer the Ratschings-Jaufen hiking station is the starting point for various hiking routes to the chalets, through pastures, high peaks and glaciers.
