An iconic address in Saint-Tropez, the Café on the Place des Lices has been the ‘rendez-vous’ of ‘pétanque’ players for decades as depicted in one of artist Charles Camoin’s famous oil, now exhibited at the nearby Musée de l’Annonciade. The surprising ‘cagibi’ for pétanque balls is reserved for a privileged few, including some well-known names among many locals.
