Following the entry of Mirazur Capital as majority shareholder, Marina Port Vell is expanding its platform internationally with the addition of Biras Marina in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands — the first move in its strategy to build a network of premium marinas in key yachting destinations.

Marina Port Vell will bring its operational model and service standards to Biras Marina in the Caribbean, located in North Sound, creating a strategic link between two major superyacht destinations.

Biras Marina forms part of Biras Creek Resort and offers 25 berths for yachts up to 70 metres, alongside 20 mooring buoys, as well as hospitality and other services aimed at owners, captains and crew.

The marina forms part of a resort that combines luxury villas, superyacht facilities and a range of dining and hospitality options catering to the premium market. In addition to the Ikigai and The Mangrove restaurants, the resort features a multi-brand boutique and a helipad.

Mirazur Capital is an alternative asset management firm based in Monaco with offices in Madrid and Luxembourg, regulated by Monaco’s Commission de Contrôle des Activités Financières (CCAF). With over €1 billion in assets under management, the firm invests on behalf of institutional and private clients across five business areas: Private Equity, Real Estate, Public Strategies, Private Credit and Private Wealth.

Its approach combines rigorous analysis, active management and a long-term perspective, with the aim of generating attractive risk-adjusted returns across different market cycles.

The move marks a significant milestone for Marina Port Vell, extending the expertise developed in Barcelona beyond the Mediterranean.
