The word’s top players set to compete
Tournament Director David Massey has unveiled the roster of players for the 2024 edition of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters which will take place from April 6 to April 14, 2024, kicking off the clay court season at the Monte-Carlo Country Club under the presidency of Miss Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy.
Launched in 1897 and held annually at the Monte-Carlo Country Club since 1928, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters is the first ATP Masters 1000 event on European soil, offering high-level competition and a unique experience to players and tennis fans worldwide.
The Top 10 in the ATP rankings have entered to play, led by Serbian Novak Djokovic (No. 1), who had an almost perfect year in 2023, winning three Grand Slam titles, followed by young Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (No. 2) and Jannik Sinner (No. 3), winner of the Australian Open. Daniil Medvedev (No. 4), Andrey Rublev (No. 5), who won his first Masters 1000 title last year in Monaco, Alexander Zverev (No. 6), Holger Rune (No. 7), 2023 finalist, Hubert Hurkacz (No. 8), Casper Ruud (No. 9), Alex de Minaur (No. 10), and Stefanos Tsitsipas (No. 11), will all be present.
Rafael Nadal is expected to make his grand return to clay at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, a tournament he holds dear and has won no less than eleven times. From France, Ugo Humbert (No. 14), Adrian Mannarino (No. 21), Arthur Fils (No. 43), will be present.
7 players from the qualifying rounds will complete the final draw, as well as 4 wild cards, totaling 56 players.
This year will be marking the 30th edition of the Grande Nuit du Tennis.
