TAG Aviation hosted an event celebrating Girls in Aviation Day by inviting female students from a local school in Godalming, Surrey into the TAG facilities in Farnborough, UK.
The day started with presentations given by the TAG female Managers providing the students with an insight into their role, how they got into the aviation industry and what skills they employ daily, along with answering any questions from the visiting students and teachers.
After the presentation session, the girls were divided into two groups and participated in learning exercises that tested communication and problem-solving skills.
The visit ended with a trip to the Farnborough hangars which is home to some of the TAG aircraft followed by a visit to the FBO (Fixed Based Operation) for a short presentation and local community video by the airport itself.
The visit provided a fantastic opportunity for TAG to meet and encourage the next generation of female aviation employees.
“TAG Aviation was delighted to offer both support and real-life stories to the visiting female students. It gives me immense pride having our senior female employees being involved in such an important event for Girls in Aviation Day. The passion for aviation really does shine through from the staff and I am proud to highlight our strong female lineup to inspire the next generation of female aviation pioneers,” said Joanne Goodall, CEO, TAG Aviation Europe.
