The Aviation District in Dubai South and D J Aviation, an Emirati company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the construction of two hangars at Aviation District of Dubai South by D J Aviation. The signing ceremony was held at MEBAA 2018. Tahnoon Saif, Chief Executive Officer of the Aviation District at Dubai South expressed satisfaction over the signing of the MOU. He said, “The Aviation District in Dubai South is proud to have such partnership with UAE national partners, indicating the mutual trust and confidence.”
A huge facility
Extending over an area of approximately 11,000 square meter, the two hangars will offer local, regional and international clients, various services including; aircraft parking, service provision and aircraft management, as well as regional management services, customer relationship, commence charter sales, setting up full A6 AOC structure, and fueling. The hangars will also provide maintenance covering, line maintenance, and cleaning.
Speaking on the occasion, Ibrahim Al Mulla, CEO of D J Aviation thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai for the support he extended to the aviation sector in Dubai. He also thanked Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and Chairman of Dubai World for encouraging such projects.
“Entering this market is a new challenge for us. We hope to attract partnerships with local, regional and international companies to combine knowledge and experience for the success of the project,” said Ibrahim Al Mulla, who himself is a graduate of Aviation from the prestigious accredited aviation related university Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
The hangars are expected to be completed and certified by the end of 2019.
