Rockwell Collins announced during the NBAA that the Pro Line Fusion avionics system will be available in retrofit on Cessna Citation CJ1+ and CJ2+. Owners will have a new option to take advantage of NextGen system enhancements while adding the many other benefits of the Pro Line Fusion. This avionics upgrade, which is expected to be certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) by the end of 2019, is already available for Citation CJ3 aircraft.
Currently, 30 CJ3 equipped with business jets at Pro Line Fusion are in service, and another 10 are pending installation. “The CJ3 Fusion upgrade was very popular and we received many comments from the CJ1 + and CJ2 + operators who told us that they were waiting impatiently for their turn,” said Christophe Blanc, Vice President and General Manager, Commercial and Regional Systems at Rockwell Collins. “Treating the CJ1 +, CJ2 + and CJ3 as one family of Pro Line Fusion products allows us to pool our resources and ensures a strong and sustainable investment and product support for years to come.”
The installation of the CJ1 + / CJ2 + Pro Line Fusion upgrade will be available at service centers owned by Textron Aviation after FAA certification. Among the main features of Pro Line Fusion is the integration of three 14.1-inch touch screens with advanced graphics and configurable windows. The system also features interactive tactile maps with high resolution topography, weather and obstacle overview, and geo-referenced electronic maps displaying the aircraft’s position. Installation of the CJ1 + / CJ2 + Pro Line Fusion Upgrade will be available at all authorized Rockwell Collins dealers, as well as at Textron owned service centers. To develop its offer and provide advice to its customers, Rockwell Collins will also be present during the MEBAA show to be held in Dubai from 10 to 12 December 2018.
