Like the flight pioneers of the early 20th century, the exclusive experience ‘Palermo in Piper’ at the annual ‘Le Vie dei Tesori’ festival will retrace the early routes over the city aboard private three-seat aircraft piloted by expert aviators. A true immersion in the culture of flying begins at the oldest of the Palermo airports, commissioned by the Florio family, particularly Vincenzo, who championed the ‘Targa Florio Aeronautica’. After a brief visit to the hangar at Boccadifalco Airport with the Aeroclub pilots, guests will take a flight of approximately 20 minutes, dedicated to soaking in the breathtaking views of Mondello Bay and the city.
