Nomad Technics has recently redelivered a Boeing BBJ following an extensive maintenance programme and a series of major upgrades. The aircraft, owned and operated by Action Aviation, was brought to Basel for a 12-year inspection and landing gear overhaul. To maximize the aircraft’s downtime, the operator also commissioned several cabin and technology enhancements.
Among the upgrades was the installation of the Gogo Galileo FDX satellite connectivity system, one of the first such installations on a BBJ worldwide. Aero Visto completely reupholstered the seats and divans with a bespoke interior design, while the in-flight entertainment system received larger, higher-resolution monitors and a new app-based video-on-demand streaming system developed specifically for the customer. The aircraft’s cabin lighting was also upgraded to a multicolour LED mood lighting system, fully controllable via a dedicated application.
Based at EuroAirport Basel, Nomad Technics AG, the maintenance division of Nomad Aviation AG, is an EASA Part-145 approved organisation providing maintenance inspections and non-routine repairs for Bombardier Global and Challenger business jets. The company also performs line and base maintenance on the Airbus A320 family and Boeing 737NG and MAX aircraft.
Nomad Aviation AG, headquartered in Switzerland and Malta, provides aircraft management and charter services, operating an exclusive fleet of business aircraft.
