Created in 1986, Le Guanahani sets a benchmark for excellence in the hotel industry. Its pastel hues accent the hotel’s understated design blending elegance and refinement. To celebrate its 30-year anniversary, the hotel invited two artists known around the world for their originality and talent: John Andrew Perello known as JonOne and Richard Orlinski. The two artists created original works for Le Guanahani featuring radiant colors and immersed in Caribbean culture. Dreams turned into reality. Le Guanahani has 30 rooms, 27 suites and 10 “Signature” suites. All rooms were decorated by the designer Luis Pons, renowned for his sensibility and his work inspired by sensory experiences. A three-year renovation project transformed the hotel into a veritable oasis of peace with an understated and relaxing decor. The designer Luis Pons was inspired by the famous “Panama” hat which he considers to be an object of exceptional beauty and craftsmanship perfectly reflecting the elegance of St. Barts and Le Guanahani. The designer’s goal was to reinterpret the culture and history of St Barts through a contemporary outlook. Every room has its own look and its own world view. Everything seems to hold memories of happy and magical times.
