Jet Aviation’s MRO facility at Dubai DXB has redelivered its first full business jet cabin refurbishment. The refurbishment included both hard and soft furnishings, and design refresh per customer specifications.
The project scope involved the removal of the entire interior on a Gulfstream 450, including disassembling the cabinetry, bulkheads, doors, side ledges, tables, wardrobes, vanity unit, galley, and annex for restoration. The original veneer was removed and reworked with high gloss ‘piano black’ finish, which was complemented by a palette of sleek grey upholstery. The seats and divan were fully restored with new foam and leather per customer specifications. The final cabin fit out and monuments required meticulous attention to detail during re-installation to ensure a seamless finish throughout the cabin.
“In the past years, we have seen more and more requests for cabin refurbishments, and have been steadily increasing our in-house capabilities to be able to offer customers a full interior refurbishment on all business jet types, in collaboration with our trusted interior finishing partners,” says Hardy Bütschi, VP regional operations Middle East & GM Dubai.
The facility is also in the final stage of redelivery on a second business jet, which was fully restored to customer-selected specifications with a trusted interiors partner.
“It’s fantastic to now have full cabin refurbishment capability in-house at our maintenance hub in Dubai as we continue to grow our services in the region,” says Jeremie Caillet, senior vice president regional operations EMEA.
The completion of the projects follows an announcement in December 2022 that Jet Aviation Dubai DXB had increased maintenance and refurbishment capabilities in response to growing customer demand. The extension includes full-cabin refurbishment and avionic modifications and upgrades, such as high-speed internet.
