FAI Aviation Group, Germany’s leading global provider of mission-critical aviation services, has been named as a 2023 ‘Employer of the Future’ by the German Innovation Institute for Sustainability and Digitalisation (DIND).

FAI Aviation Group operates Germany´s largest fleet of Bombardier business jets. The fleet includes five Global Express, six Challenger 604s and seven Learjet 60s. FAI runs a 14,000 m² carbon-neutral fixed-base operation at its Nuremberg, Germany headquarters, employing a staff of close to 300 people, including 100 mechanics and engineers at its MRO`s in Nuremberg and Berlin.

FAI was praised for its entrepreneurial, progressive work – in innovation; investing in and maximising the use of technology and sustainable practices.

Siegfried Axtmann, founder and Chairman of FAI Aviation Group, commented: “We are pleased to accept this coveted award which recognises our success in fostering a supportive and engaging workplace for our employees. I would like to dedicate this award to our excellent 300-strong workforce who every day go the extra mile to help make our 36 year old company a success. As we currently face a shortage of skilled workers in Germany, I hope this will help us to attract future talented individuals.

Following the opening of its new MRO facility at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) in February, FAI widened its workforce earlier this year, adding 10 team members including engineers and mechanics.

FAI is official supplier of the McLaren Formula 1 Team.
