Following approval from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), above™ is ready to begin commercial operations, introducing a fresh approach to private aviation.

Operating from its base at Birmingham Airport’s XLR Executive Jet Centre, above™ launches with 25 published fixed-price city-pair routes across the UK and Europe, alongside flexible on-demand private charter services available through charter brokers, using its Embraer Phenom 100 (G-FABV). A second Phenom 100 has already been identified, with discussions underway regarding its future regional base.

Created for today’s Modern Achievers—entrepreneurs, founders, professionals and their families who value time, flexibility and experiences—above™ aims to make private aviation more straightforward, transparent and focused on maximizing its customers’ most valuable asset: time.

The company launches with a portfolio of fixed-price charter routes from Birmingham, covering popular same-day return and overnight destinations across the UK and Europe. Its initial network includes Belfast City, Belfast International, Bordeaux, Brussels, Cannes, Copenhagen, Dublin, Edinburgh, Geneva, Glasgow, Guernsey, Jersey, Nice, Paris, Prague and Zurich.

In addition, above™ offers on-demand charter flights from airports throughout the UK and nearby Europe and is now listed on the Avinode platform, allowing charter brokers to access its services.

The launch follows more than seven months of intensive regulatory, engineering and operational preparation. The certification process required above™ to demonstrate the highest standards in flight operations, engineering, safety, training and regulatory compliance before the UK CAA added the Embraer Phenom 100 to the company’s Air Operator Certificate (GB2461).

above™ is the trading name of Above Aero AOC Ltd, a UK Civil Aviation Authority-approved air operator headquartered at Birmingham Airport.
