Wheely, the Swiss-founded British services company, is extending its live flight-tracking technology to support private aviation.
The service allows passengers travelling by private jet to enjoy the same precisely timed airport pickup experience that has defined Wheely’s Perfect Airport Pickup service for commercial flights. Customers flying private can specify their aircraft tail number in the Wheely app. Once the flight plan is filed, Wheely’s system begins live tracking, dynamically adjusting the chauffeur’s arrival time to align with the flight—ensuring they reach the terminal ahead of the aircraft landing, even if it arrives early.
The service eliminates waiting time and delivers the efficiency and discretion Wheely’s clientele expect. It also tracks if a flight is diverted or lands in another serviceable airport, ensuring the chauffeur can reroute.

Unlike commercial aviation, where flight schedules are predetermined, private aviation presents unique logistical challenges. Flight plans are often confirmed only hours before departure, and access to FBOs (Fixed-Base Operators) frequently requires prior permission. Wheely’s technology handles these complexities, and its chauffeurs are aware of FBO procedures, allowing them to access the closest available point to the arrival and adjust in real-time as flight conditions change.
Where the FBO permits, Wheely chauffeurs will wait planeside for customers. In cases where it is not permitted, chauffeurs will wait in the private terminal as a passenger arrives, ready to depart as soon as the wheels touch down.
“Our customers expect flawless execution and refuse to compromise on time or privacy. As private aviation continues to grow, we’re ensuring Wheely remains their natural choice on the ground,” said Anton Chirkunov, CEO and Founder of Wheely.
