The Monaco-based company Blueberry Aviation with offices in Dublin, New York, Tokyo and Singapore, has added a new senior advisor to the team. Yann Ballet, who accumulated over 30 years of financing experience in aircraft and structured finance, was previously VP Structured Finance at Airbus. He had joined the company in 1987 where he held various senior positions in France, the USA, Ireland and UAE and built strong relationships within the financing communities.
His experience covers a wide range of aircraft financing structures (mortgage debt, leasing, capital markets, Islamic financing, investment funds…) and corporate financing.
In the recent years, Ballet was responsible for designing and implementing a private non-payment insurance program for Airbus Aircraft (Balthazar), which has supported the financing of 23 aircraft over the past 3 years. He was also involved in advising commercial teams for several airlines on restructuring schemes rolled out during the Covid-19 crisis.
“I am delighted that Yann is joining Blueberry Aviation’s team to support our customers as well as assist us in the development of new exciting projects,” said Francois Gautier, Founder and CEO of Blueberry Aviation. “I have known Yann since we shared the same office when I joined Airbus in 1988. He has a very impressive professional track record and a well-earned outstanding reputation in the aviation world. We are very proud to have him on board and I am sure he will be a great asset for our team and our customers.”
Over the past 19 years Blueberry completed over 155 commercial aircraft transactions, performed more than 465 inspections and moved over USD3.4 billion worth of assets for more than 65 customers.
Blueberry Aviation is also a leading provider of helicopter placement, investment and lease management services.
