An eight-person Manchester aviation company walked away with the Young Talent/Start Up award April 28th at the Sapphire Business Awards in Prague. Signum Aviation, which supports business aviation operators all over the world was presented the award for showing consistent double-digit growth since its founding in 2007 and by significantly widening its client base over the past few years.
As recently estimated by the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), the value of Business Aviation handling among Europe economy is around €200,000,000 in output, offering a large market share to flight support specialists. Over the past two decades, the market has also seen the entry of Middle Eastern operators showcasing huge platforms with complex workflows, extensive credit lines or global fueling capabilities. The reason for Signum Aviation’s success is neither technological nor digital. Arranging handling and ground services for private jet owners is about trust. “The main thing that sets us apart is our amazing team of ops professionals. This is the key to our success and with 100% staff retention since our founding, clients know that when they contact Signum Aviation they will get someone on the end of the phone or e-mail who knows their operation and specific requirements.” says Jonathan Gill, Signum Aviation’s MD and founder. “This personal and responsive service coupled with our truly worldwide experience is why the main source of new client acquisition has been word-of-mouth referrals” he adds. Signum Aviation consistently invests in staff training and development and has out-achieved the new ISO9001-2015 standard, one of the first aviation companies in Europe to do so.
