First VIP completion equipped with Gogo Galileo high-speed internet solution

Lufthansa Technik has completed the VIP cabin outfitting of an Airbus ACJ319neo for an undisclosed private customer. The aircraft received its bespoke interior during a layover at Lufthansa Technik’s base in Hamburg. It is distinguished by a modern, high-end design, reflecting the customer’s unique vision and aspirations.

“This fascinating aircraft is a further example of Lufthansa Technik strengthening its role as a technology leader for VIP and Special Aircraft completions. With its customized outfitting, ensuring premier levels of comfortable private travel, the aircraft meets and exceeds the highest expectations. To enhance the passenger experience even further, Lufthansa Technik — in cooperation with Airbus and Gogo — has introduced a new standard in terms of onboard entertainment and connectivity.”
Michael von Puttkamer, Vice President Special Aircraft Services, Lufthansa Technik

This milestone marks the first VIP cabin completion to feature the Gogo Galileo LEO (Low-Earth Orbit) satellite internet connectivity solution. The installation of the Gogo Galileo terminal enables high-speed broadband access, allowing passengers to enjoy real-time video conferencing, data transfer, and other online services with low latency anywhere on Earth.

Unlike traditional systems that rely on geostationary (GEO) satellites orbiting at 42,000 kilometers, the new electronically steered antenna connects to the Eutelsat OneWeb satellite network at just 965 kilometers above the surface. The dense constellation ensures consistent and resilient connectivity, keeping guests onboard productive, entertained, and relaxed throughout their flight.
