HondaJet Central Europe announced that the first HondaJet available for hire in the region made its official debut with an appearance at the Warsaw-Chopin Polish Airport. The première took place on April 12 and was attended by many senior officials and dignitaries, including His Excellency Satoru Takahashi, Japan’s ambassador to Poland. Honda Aircraft Company was represented at the event by Simon Roads, Senior Director of Sales, and GE Honda Aero Engines was represented by Steven Shaknaitis, Executive Vice President. The plane, which belongs to Chopin Vodka, is the first HondaJet available for private charter in Eastern Europe and throughout Europe, including the UK, Russia and Scandinavia. Tadeusz Dorda, CEO and founder Chopin Vodka, who was present at the aircraft’s reception, highlighted the role played by Honda Aircraft Company’s President and CEO Michimasa Fujino, who he said “has not only abandoned the concept of what is considered conventional aviation, but also the aircraft segment in which the HA-420 is located. Delivered in Poland at the beginning of March, Chopin’s HondaJet presents numerous modifications adapted to the European market. The aircraft will be managed and operated by JetStory, recently named “Best Foreign Business Airline” by Wings of Business.
