European customers will have a unique opportunity to tour the impressive full-scale mock-up of Bombardier’s innovative Global 7000 business jet when traveling to Sardinia. The life-size mock-up, which is displayed in front of the Olbia airport until August 24, 2017, showcases the aircraft’s stylish full four living space interior. This is the first time a business aircraft mock-up of this size has been displayed at an airport in Italy.

This is a wonderful opportunity to welcome suppliers, media and of course customers to experience first-hand the Global 7000 aircraft cabin and the industry’s most spacious cockpit. The enthusiasm shown for this aircraft has been tremendous. It allows customers from around the world to get a better sense and feel for the newest standard in cabin comfort and the most technologically advanced flight deck.

Today, the Global 7000 flight test program is showing a high level of system reliability and is progressing on schedule to meet entry-into-service in the second half of 2018 with three flight test vehicles now flying in Wichita.. The first flight test vehicle (FTV1) attained a speed of Mach 0.995, versus the aircraft’s stated high cruise speed of Mach 0.925. Reaching this important milestone only 5 months after the start of the flight test program is an unprecedented achievement for any business aircraft development program. The third flight test vehicle (FTV3) reached an altitude of 51,000 ft.

The Global 7000 business jet is uniquely designed from the inside out to deliver a smooth ride and a cabin experience like no other. The industry’s only business jet with four living spaces and a dedicated crew rest area, the Global 7000 aircraft is a clean-sheet design that offers unparalleled comfort and interior design flexibility that will set the standard for a new category of large business jets.
